Rodriguez’s return will send Sampson to bullpen (AP)
When Wandy Rodriguez returns from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday, Chris Sampson will be the odd man out in the Houston Astros’ rotation. Manager Cecil Cooper said Tuesday that Brian Moehler, who’s made four solid starts since Rodriguez was sidelined by a left groin injury on April 20, will be the fifth starter.

Jose Valverde earned a save after getting struck in the face with a line drive and the Houston Astros got two solo homers from Hunter Pence to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 on Friday night.
